Kattaca is a creative stylist and art director who re-created paintings of Austrian artist Gustav Klimt in a series called 'La esencia de Klimt'.
One of his most famous paintings, Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I, was re-created above. The painting was one of the most expensive in the world, which sold for over $140 million.
Takanori Aiba is a Japanese artist who started as a maze illustrator for POPYE magazine. He later moved on to become an art director for architectural spaces. In 2003, he decided to combine his these two talents into what you see here. These amazingly intricate sculptures are built using copper, putty, plastic, resin and clay stone. Emilie Griottes created these wonderfully colorful, and tasty looking, Pantone tarts for French Culinary Magazine Fricote. She created these beautiful color swatches by placing berries, carrots, lemons, candy other foods on a tart base. The bottom is lined with icing and marked with a Pantone color. I love the look and feel of this project!
