Charles II – The Merrie Monarch (1630 -1685)

You might recognize the style from Alexia Sinclair's sister series,  The Regal Twelve. This one features twelve nobles and monarchs.To create these amazing works, Alexia weaved together very specific elements from her own photos and illustrations. Here is how the series is described on her site:

"Legends of the lives of the nobles continue to captivate us today, from the pampered decadence of Louis XIV to the epic legend of Alexander the Great. Other rulers who also form this series are less renowned yet equally intriguing. An unusual blend of Royalty, their selection was based on their contrasts in leadership, their flamboyancies and their enduring influence upon society."

These are some breathtaking black and white underwater photos by Hengki Koentjoro. These photos give you just a small but incredibly interesting look at what life is like in the deep blue. It just goes to show what a large, interesting and amazing place the Earth can be.

Here is some great artwork by Lawrence Yang. The surprising thing is painting is only a hobby for Lawrence. He is an information architect by trade. Lawrence is heavily influenced by graffiti art and traditional Chinese painting. His works are mostly created with ink, marker and watercolor. Here's how Lawrence describes his paintings:

"Lawrence's paintings make use of color to communicate atmosphere and emotion, and they are concerned primarily with creating order out of chaos (and vice versa)."

This is a pretty cool series of photos by Jeff Bark. The placement of his subject is very interesting. He is only clearly in view in one photo and is normally offset from the center, which creates some very interesting photos.
