Photographer Andrew Osokin is a specialist at capturing life's smallest treasures. Using a Nikon D80/D90 and a 60mm/90mm macro lens, he captures everything from insects to flowers and notably here, snowflakes. These photos beautifully capture the amazing shapes and formations of melting snow.
Some people get a thrill by riding on a roller coaster or driving a fast car. People like 19 year old Russian photographer Vitaly Raskalov get their thrill by skywalking, which consists of scaling tall structures without safety equipment and uploading pictures to social media sites. The only way to get such breathtaking photos is to climb the structures yourself, or look at them on the internet. I will gladly do the latter and let the thrill-seekers provide us with spectacular views. My palms are sweaty just from looking at them.

He is shooting this series to so his daughters have fond memories when they grow up. Not only that, but he loves sharing his photos with others. These spectacular shots are from Winter Illuminations, a gorgeous display of lights at the Nabano No Sato botanical garden in Kuwana, Japan. Millions of LED lights spread across the garden grounds creating inspiring scenes such as a sunrise at Mt Fuji, a rainbow across the sky, and the aurora borealis, not to mention the spectacular light tunnels. You can catch this spectacular sight up until March 31, 2013.
